In this seven-week beginner’s course, you'll learn the fundamentals of centering, pulling walls, shaping forms, and glazing. Each week builds on the last as you learn to make mugs and bowls.

Students will also explore basic trimming and glazing techniques to complete their pieces. No experience is necessary—just come ready to get messy and have fun!

Tuition Includes:

  • Clay

  • Use of studio tools and equipment

  • Bisque and glaze firings

  • Access to studio glazes

What to Bring:

  • An apron or towel

  • Clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting muddy

  • Your creative spirit!

Class Size: Limited to ensure personalized instruction.
Registration Required. Spaces fill quickly!

Please note that we do not have a parking lot. We have a few metered street parking spots in front of the studio. If you want to park in a space off the street that is reserved for Nicodemus Center customers, I recommend parking a block further down at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Waynesboro. Our studio is on a one-way street. If you pass the studio (it will be on your left) continue roughly a block further up the street. The church is on your left.
