A creative outlet for everyone.
The Nicodemus Center for Ceramic Studies preserves, collects, exhibits, and interprets historic folk pottery, all while conducting an active ceramic arts studio program.
Upcoming events and classes.
The art of pottery is oftentimes described as therapeutic and relaxing. While manipulating clay, your mind and body are in natural synergy, wrapped around your creative ambitions. This thoughtful, artistic activity can open up the mind and relieve you of outside worries.
Our pottery classes are held at our downtown Waynesboro studio.
The Nicodemus Center operates two pottery studios: primary studio located in located in downtown Waynesboro, and our original studio at Penn State Mont Alto. Both studios are equipped with our in-house recipe glazes and clays, as well as pottery wheels, slab rollers, and kiln firing capabilities.
Our downtown Waynesboro studio showcases our Guild Member Shoppe – the perfect place for expanding your pottery collection, or for those hard-to-shop for friends and family members. It is open the first weekend of every month Friday 2-6 PM and Saturday 10AM - 2PM. It will also be open for some special open houses/events and by appointment. Please check our socials for special event announcements.

Please note that we do not have a parking lot. We have a few metered street parking spots in front of the studio. If you want to park in a space off the street that is reserved for Nicodemus Center customers, I recommend parking a block further down at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Waynesboro. Our studio is on a one-way street. If you pass the studio (it will be on your left) continue roughly a block further up the street. The church is on your left.
