Adults (18 and over) Try the Wheel, July 18, 2025, 6:00pm-9:00pm, $50

$50.00

Try the Wheel

Duration: About 3 hours

Cost: $50

Skill Level: Beginner

Ages: 18+

Instructor: Anne Aden

Location: NCCS Studio, 13 S. Church St, Waynesboro, PA

Is throwing clay on the pottery wheel on your bucket list? This three hour class is the perfect way to have check it out, get your hands dirty, and make some pots.

Anne will help you succeed at trying your hand at the basics—centering clay, pulling it up, and experiencing the fun (and challenge!) of making pottery.

At the end of your session, you’ll choose from a selection of glazes and our studio team will bisque, glaze, and kiln fire your pieces. They are usually ready for pick up in about three weeks.

Session Includes:

  • Clay and all materials

  • Step-by-step instruction

  • Glazing and firing of two to three finished pieces

What to Bring:

  • Clothes you don’t mind getting muddy

  • An apron or towel

  • Closed-toe shoes

  • A sense of humor and curiosity!

Class Size: Small group format for personal attention
Registration Required. Spots fill quickly—perfect for a date night, friend outing, or solo adventure!

Please note that we do not have a parking lot. We have a few metered street parking spots in front of the studio. If you want to park in a space off the street that is reserved for Nicodemus Center customers, I recommend parking a block further down at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Waynesboro. Our studio is on a one-way street. If you pass the studio (it will be on your left) continue roughly a block further up the street. The church is on your left.
